The Elvis Presley Museum is also located in Tupelo. It opened in 1992, but was renovated in 2006 to include a larger collection of memorabilia. The Chapel is the actual church where Elvis first began singing gospel music. Held during the month of August, the Fan Appreciation Day is dedicated to those who helped the King’s rise to stardom – his undying fans.
